Steven Kirk Foster, M.D.

Dr. Foster, from Deer Park, Texas received his medical degree from the U.T. Medical School in Houston and completed his residency training at the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock.  He moved from Fayetteville, Arkansas to Cedar Park in 1998.  Dr. Foster is board certified in Pediatrics, as well as being trained in adult Internal Medicine.

He provides primary, preventive, consultative, and hospital-based care for newborns, children, and adults. He is on staff at most area hospitals.  Dr. Foster has served on many boards and organizations in the Cedar Park community since 1998, and currently volunteers with the YMCA and the 4A board

 

 

Nejla S. Shami, M.D.

Nejla S. Shami, MD is a native Texan and a graduate of UT Austin.  She completed her residency in Austin, where she served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Shami is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has a broad range of professional experience.  Prior to joining Family Medical Center she worked for the Travis County Community Health Centers, caring for chronically ill patients.  She also worked in Cape Cod with Outer Cape Health Services providing primary and urgent care.  She has an interest in nutrition and wellness, diabetes and women’s health.  Currently, Dr. Shami plays on a women’s ice hockey team in Austin and mountain bikes.  She has been with Family Medical Center for two years.

 

 

John P. Drobnica, PA-C

John returns to the Family Medical Center, originally starting here in 1995.  He is a distinguished honor graduate from the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Program and received his P.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma.  He then completed his Masters at the University of Nebraska, specializing in Family Medicine. He has practiced as an emergency medicine, primary care, and orthopedic PA in rural Texas. He recently completed a 30-month tour of active duty in Afghanistan and then along the Texas-Mexico border as the Task Force Surgeon.  He is past President of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and a clinical instructor for two of the University of Texas Health Sciences Centers PA programs. John also co-founded the annual fall Cedar Perk 5 Miler, a Parks and Police benefit run.  We are excited that John has re-joined our family.
