During Your Clinic Visit
New patients: Come in 30 minutes early on your first visit, or ask us for new patient forms prior to your appointment date. Bring with you your insurance card and all medications (prescription and nonprescription) that you're taking. Established patients: At each visit, notify us of any changes in your address, phone number, and/or insurance information. Bring your insurance card with you on each visit. If you have a new prescription, bring all medications (prescription and nonprescription) with you. Running late? Please call if you're running late or if you have to cancel your appointment. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to wait or to reschedule. Your account may be charged $25 if you don't notify us of a cancellation 24 hours in advance.

When the Clinic is Closed
If you have an emergency after hours, go to the nearest emergency room or dial 911. Dr. Foster is on staff at Round Rock Medical Center, Seton Northwest, and Children's Hospital.
If you're an established patient and need to page the provider on call with an urgent medical question after hours, please dial the office number: 336-5824. Follow the instructions on the voice mail system. You may be billed for a telephone consultation, and your insurance may not cover these charges.
Please DO NOT page the provider on call to make or change appointments; to get prescriptions, test results, or referrals; or for billing or insurance questions. Leave a message on our voice mail system for the appropriate staff person on the next business day.

Referrals
Most HMO managed care plans require a referral from your primary care physician before you make an appointment with a specialist. Referral authorizations may take 5 days to process, so please contact our office as soon as the need for a referral arises.

Prescription Refills
If you have any questions concerning your medications, please call us. If you need a medication refill, call your pharmacy Monday-Thursday 8am- 3pm or 8-noon on Friday. There may be a 3-day turnaround time on your prescription refill. Refill requests that we receive after noon on Fridays may not be filled until the following Monday.

Office Hours and Appointments
The clinic is open for patient appointments Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Same-day and next-day appointments are available for urgently ill patients. After hours clinics are Monday-Thursday 4 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 11 am. No appointment is required for after-hours visits. The after-hours fee is $20 in addition to your usual co-pay.

Payment for Services
All co-pays are due before your appointment. All other payments are expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. If we bill insurance for you, you may still be responsible for any services that your insurance company calls "non-covered."
